Increased migration pressure on Poland-Belarus border demonstrates an opening of new migration route to Europe and an emergence of a new phenomenon in international politics – using migrants as a political tool in a state’s foreign policy.

European decision makers warn about the “weaponisation” of migration in a new hybrid warfare, while questions arise about the situation in host countries in the Middle East as well as compliance of policies with norms of international law. This seminar will serve as a platform for exchange of opinions on recent developments and discussion for the most optimal management of migration under changing circumstances.

The seminar is organised within the framework of the project Migration and Development: Sharing knowledge between Poland and Norway (MiDeShare). The project is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Grants and Norway Grants.

If you wish to follow this seminar online, you can register here and we will send to a link to the stream closer to the event date.
