The meeting of the Editorial Committee of the Polish Diplomatic Documents series was held on 14 May 2024. The meeting was attended by Sławomir Dębski (Director of PISM and Chairman of the Editorial Committee), Jan Stanisław Ciechanowski, Piotr M. Majewski, Adam Daniel Rotfeld, Małgorzata Ruchniewicz, Jacek Tebinka Mariusz Wołos, Stanisław Żerko, as well as Paweł Ceranka (Deputy Director of the Archives and Information Management Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and Jan Jacek Bruski – scientific editor of the volumes PDD 1920 respectively encompassing January-June and July-December. Piotr Długołęcki (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the PDD series) and Marek Rodzik (Editorial Secretary) also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, the scientific editors of the volumes in preparation, PDD 1920 (Jan Jacek Bruski), PDD 1943 and 1944 (Jacek Tebinka), and PDD 1982 (Małgorzata Ruchniewicz), discussed the status of the ongoing work. Due to the absence of Magdalena Hułas – scientific editor of the PDD 1945 January–July volume – the status of the ongoing work was presented by editor Piotr Długołęcki.

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed: the PDD series' activity on social media, the sale of publications, and the uploading of PDD volumes and accompanying publications on the Internet. Promoting the PDD volumes and accompanying publications both in Poland and abroad was also raised. The issue of awarding the series a grant from the National Programme for the Development of the Humanities for the volumes for 1921–1922 was discussed.

During the meeting, Director of PISM Sławomir Dębski announced that Piotr Długołęcki had been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the series and Vice-Chairman of the PDD Editorial Committee. The posts of Editor-in-Chief had been held in the past by Włodzimierz Borodziej (2002–2021) and Sławomir Dębski (2021–2024).
