Digital accessibility
The Polish Institute of International Affairs undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of public entities’ websites and mobile applications. The accessibility declaration applies to the websites within the https://www.pism.pl domain.

The website partially complies with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the incompatibilities or exclusions listed below:
1. Not all images placed on the website have alternative text.
2. Some elements, such as form fields, do not have correctly composed labels.
3. Focus is not visible on some page elements.
4. Some pages do not have the correct heading structure.
5 Some links on the page are not correctly described.
6. Individual sub-pages do not have defined titles.
Plans to eliminate digital accessibility bugs: PISM plans to eliminate all digital accessibility bugs mentioned above before the end of 31 March 2025.

Anyone has the right to request that a website, mobile phone application, or some element thereof be made accessible. It is also possible to request that the information be made available through an alternative means of accessibility, for example by reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without an audio description, etc.
The request should include the details of the person submitting it, an indication of which website or mobile application is being an interest and the means of contact. If the person making the request wishes to receive the information by alternative means of access, they should also specify how the information is to be presented in a way that is convenient for them.
The public body should comply with the request without delay and no later than 7 days from the date of the request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public body shall inform the requester without further delay when it will be possible to comply with the request, however the deadline shall not be longer than 2 months from the date of the request.
If digital accessibility is not possible, the public body may propose an alternative means of accessing the information. Where a public body refuses to comply with a request to provide accessibility or an alternative means of accessing the information, the requester may lodge a complaint about the provision of digital accessibility to the website, mobile application, or an element thereof. After exhausting the procedure indicated above, an application may also be made to the Ombudsman.
Architectural Accessibility

There is one entrance to the building from Warecka Street. Next to the entrance there is an information board with the name of the Institute. The entrance is without stairs. Upon entering the building, the reception desk is located on the left-hand side. Further access to the building requires to give the reception desk information about the purpose of the arrival.
The building has no facilities or lifts for persons with disabilities. Access to the upper floors is by stairs only. For wheelchair users, the corridor near the reception desk and the reading room of the Institute's library are accessible without further need for third-party assistance.
The Institute does not have its own parking spaces for persons with disabilities. Such places are located in the city paid parking zone on Kubusia Puchatka and Warecka Streets.
It is possible to enter the building and accessible areas with an assistance dog and a guide dog.
There are no Braille signs in the building, nor are there contrast or enlarged print signs for the blind and partially sighted.
There are no sign language interpreters at the Institute, and the Institute does not have access to an online sign language interpreter.
