Kacper Rekawek, an analyst in the security programme of the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM), has been awarded the Paul Wilkinson Memorial Fellowship for 2013 by the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence at the University of St Andrews and the Airey Neave Trust. The fellowship will help finance his research devoted to countering terrorism and terrorism organisations which he conducts at PISM. His research project: “Steady As She Goes?” Is No Counterterrorism Effectively The Best Counterterrorism? will study the potential correlation between countering terrorism in previously "safe" countries and exposure to a more robust terrorist threat. The output of this project will be published by PISM throughout 2013 and 2014.
