PISM Strategic Ark 2023
of the President of the Republic of Poland
Andrzej Duda
Russia’s unprovoked war in Ukraine caused a tectonic shift in the global security architecture. These changes initiated unprecedented solidarity among the nations of the free world to defend sovereignty and democracy from authoritarian threats. For strategists and decision makers throughout the world, the conflict created questions concerning the redefinition of defence policy, economic challenges and energy security. With the whole world watching, Europe is transforming in the face of these critical issues. As a front line observer to and supporter of Ukraine in the conflict, Warsaw is now the centre of critical thought and analysis for debate about the future. As experts and strategists, we must prepare the world for the new and uncertain post war reality.
Our events motto is Navigare necesse est because the world does not stop. The first edition of our conference last year brought together a series of phenomenal experts and strategists from around the world who strove to find answers to these pressing issues.
The first instalment of Strategic Ark Conference in 2022 was an amazing success. Over 400 participants and media from around the world listened to Polish prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki declared Poland’s readiness to come to ait to Finland and Sweden while these countries await their accession to NATO.
This year the 2nd edition of PISM Strategic Ark will take place in Warsaw on May 18-19.
