Jakub Benedyczak is a PISM Russian analyst and a regular collaborator of New Eastern Europe. He deals with the socio-political situation in Russia, contemporary Russian mass culture, and Russia's relations with the countries of the Middle and Far East. Doctor of political science, wrote a doctoral dissertation entitled “Political discourse in the Russian film during the Vladimir Putin era". Author of many journalistic texts and interviews (Nowa Europa Wschodnia, Polityka, Gazeta Wyborcza, Tygodnik Powszechny, Rzeczpospolita). He completed a one-year internship at the Youth Human Rights Movement (Voronezh, Russia). Previously, a project coordinator at Fundacja im. Stefan Batory.
